Make sure the spelling of search terms is correct.

The search engine will attempt to find words that sound similar to the terms you have entered, but the results will be better if your spelling is correct.

Use multiple words for more refined results.

Using multiple words will return more refined results than a single word. Results which are possibly relevant will be listed even if they don't contain all query terms, but they will be ranked in an order which may be more useful to you.

Example: If you search on energy all items whose descriptions include the word energy will be listed. If you instead enter energy efficiency, items with both those terms will be listed first.

Use single quotation marks (') to locate words which must appear together.

Using single quotation marks will find words which must appear exactly in the given order.
The search results will list results that contain phrases in that order first.

Example: 'Concentrated Solar Power'

Use the plus (+) or minus (-) signs to refine your search.

Use a plus sign when your search term or phrase must appear in the search results.
Use a minus sign to indicate undesirable term(s).
The plus sign tells the search engine that a certain word or phrase is required in the search results, and a minus sign indicates that a word or phrase must be absent in the search results.
Note: A phrase must be contained within single marks. Leave no spaces between the plus or minus sign and the term.

Example: "+photovoltaic -solar" will return results that contain the word "photovoltaic", but not "solar"
