About

ECOWEB is the result of the EU-funded ECOWEB Project aiming to increase the uptake of European eco-innovations by SMEs.

Objectives

  • Develop an intuitive and user-friendly web platform through which enterprises can find out more information on EU-funded eco-innovations
  • Allow easy sharing and promotion of eco-innovations via social media and classic online channels on a single platform
  • Connect existing networks and multipliers and engage a selected number of partners to spread the word on ECOWEB
  • Increase collaboration and synergies between research and enterprise networks (particularly SMEs) throughout Europe

The overall aim of ECOWEB is to bring together companies and eco-innovations from EU-funded projects relevant for them. This happens through an interactive platform and the support of already existing multiplication networks.
ECOWEB promotes the exploitation of existing research by a new modality of linking research results to enterprises.

The ECOWEB platform highlights applications, products, processes and other eco-innovative solutions from a comprehensive number of EU R&D funded projects. This should allow users to identify interesting and useful ideas, to collect information about a large number of research projects and to get in touch with the coordinators.

ECOWEB was developed from 2011-2013, involving a team of partners from Austria, France, Germany and Italy, who provided their expertise on EU-funded research schemes, ICT solutions and interlinking SMEs and enterprise networks to eco-innovation.
